The rooftop terrace was amazing with a fine view of the city skyline. We spent a great time there during sunrise and sunset and it was worth it. Would recommend to anyone looking for a great place to stay in the city. Overall I had a lovely stay.

Real nice hostel. Very good location, very close to sydney central. Nice rooms, clean. In house cinema with good movies. Very big kitchen with lots of fridges. Nice lounge area. Free shuttle bus in the neighbourhood. Little lights on every bed, so you don't wake up everyone when you come in to a dark room.

central yha was even better than my previous stay in sydney. the showers were great and private, the kitchen was well-equipped, and the location was perfect for getting around the city.
Limited internet access in the rooms.

It was clean and quiet. The location was very good, close to China town and Central station. Kitchen was very clean, and never crowded.
Swimming pool was too small. Internet was expensive - AUD 4 per hour. Laundry was expensive - washing, drying and washing powder cost AUD 8 in total.

Central location for entertainment center and Darling Harbour. Good size room
Twin room had a double bed and a single bed stored under double bed (although single bed was still comfortable and was a normal bed height, so not just pull out camp stretcher type bed)

YHA Staff are extremely good at making a weary traveler feel welcome! The rooms are clean, the water pressure in the showers strong, the lounge areas & common rooms are spacious & the daily meal 'deals' on offer are great value for money. I felt safe staying there & I even made some friends & had a 'sing-a-long' in the dinning area! I love how it's got the Scuba Bar just down the road & it's right in the heart of the Sydney CBD with walking distance to loads of popular attractions. I'll certainly be back again & again!
The pool water was cooler than expected even tho it stated it was 'heated' & the sauna wasn't on when I went to use it (evening). The movie was cancelled in the morning because there weren't enough people to watch it. I was accidentally put into a 'boy' room, given the wrong room number so had to go to reception 3 times to get it 'right'. Some traveler 'stole' my thermal food bag from the pigeon hole in the kitchen.

Meeting other travellers. Being able to attend a conference at the yha. Closeness to the city centre and train
Should be a free light breakfast, cafe staff not very friendly.too expensive for a hostel. Showers dirty some of the time

The hotel provided a luxurious stay with exclusive amenities including a stunning rooftop pool and sun terrace offering breathtaking views of the city.
Although the service was mostly excellent, I did encounter a minor issue with the bar/lounge area where the staff were a bit slow in attending to my needs. my experience at this hotel was wonderful and exceeded my expectations.

Location, Price, Simplicty
Can take awhile to check in, can be funny with guests, if they don't have a room key.

The rooms were decent, good location, will surely stay at yha again
Little expensive compared to other hostels around. I didnt like the cafe attached to the hostel. Staff at the cafe was rude, not helping at all and food not that great..!

Only fault no power sockets next to bed maybe there shud be on next to the personal light for each bed as using laptops and smart phones is difficult when people are resting

Well located opposite the central railway station and good access for Sydney itself. Easy walk to the bridge and opera house. Decent budget restaurant serving better than average food which was well presented.

Great value for money! This hotel is situated at the heart of the city, right next to the central station making it very convenient for commuting to different places. The staff provided excellent service and the basic amenities were perfect. The private facilities in the rooms were of good quality with great lockers for only 2 bunk beds. Also, the breakfast was included.
No negative aspects.
